About this speaker

The art form pulls me through anything. There is a healing aspect of the art and it permeates all areas of my life. - Morgan Asoyuf

Morgan Asoyuf (née Green) was born in 1984 in Prince Rupert BC, to parents Henry Green and Jean Gardiner. Morgan is Ts'msyen Eagle Clan from Ksyeen River.

Morgan’s artistic career started with a Blanche Macdonald Centre Fashion Design Diploma, and an interest in painting Ts’msyen designs. She studies wood sculpture with Henry Green and Phil Gray, as well as design and engraving with Richard Adkins.

In 2010-2012, Morgan attended Vancouver Metal Art School under Gerold Mueller, a goldsmith from Pforzheim Germany. She received diplomas in both Jewelry Design and Stone Cutting, learning special techniques such as hollow construction, gem setting, and advanced soldering. She has also done bronze casting at the Crucible in Oakland, California.

Morgan believes deeply in the power of traditional Ts’msyen art and culture, and does crest work for title holders in support of protocol for feasts, pole raisings, and community events.
